Biographies

Suzy Cain

Suzy has written some of our plays and First Person dialog. She began producing these small plays for various local tour companies. About ten years ago Suzy wrote The Trunk Show, mostly for schools, specifically the fourth grade. It was at this time that Suzy teamed up with Michelle Reyna, a talented tour guide and historian; they began to take The Trunk Show on the road in the north Florida area. It was so successful that Suzy and Michelle began their own company, City Gate Productions. Both Suzy and Michelle have been licensed local guides for the last 12 years. Although Suzy now resides in New Zealand with her family, she continues to contribute to, and be a vital part of, City Gate Productions. We miss her terribly, but we know she is happy and we talk often.

Michelle Reyna

Michelle has been a licensed tour guide in St. Augustine Florida for the past twelve years. Being a licensed guide, Michelle has worked for several local tour companies creating and conducting historic walking tours. Her love of history drives her to continue her extensive research for the City of St. Augustine. She creates and produces the annual Pedro Menendez birthday party. Michelle is an active member of the St. Augustine Preservation Board, St. Augustine Sister Cities Association, Women's Club of St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Attractions Association and serves on the board of the 450th Corps Group for the birthday of the founding of St. Augustine, which will be celebrated in 2015. Beside her civic contributions she portrays many City Gate Production characters, two of said characters are Pedro and Diamond 'Lil. One is also likely to see Michelle, in accurate period clothing, deftly guiding a group of enthralled tourists through our ancient streets, imparting the little-known history of her beloved St. Augustine, Florida.
