The Mission of Nombre de Dios is the actual landing place of our founder Pedro Menendez de Aviles. It is believed this is the first place Catholic mass was said in our country. The landing place of Ponce de Leon in 1513, Indian burial grounds, a cross of stones, and a map were found in 1885. Hear the story of the woman who found this site, and learned its secrets.
